The APICS CLTD is the most recent certification added to the APICS repertoire of professional certifications.  This new certification is based on meeting today's challenges in supply chain logistics.  Candidates will learn about the best practices in global transportation, logistics, and distribution.

Recommended Participants in the CLTD Program

The APICS CLTD designation provides individuals with common standards for understating, vocabulary, resources, and frameworks to address supply chain challenges and opportunities within their organizations.  The designation is designed for:

Supply chain professionals seeking to enhance knowledge and expertise

Consultants who wish to demonstrate expertise in supply chain management

Professionals who work in logistics – domestic or international

The APICS CLTD designation will help demonstrate mastery of the necessary tools to effectively manage global supply logistics activities.

Course Enrollment Requirements/Recommendations

The student must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of a high school diploma.  There are no prerequisites are listed for these courses.  We do recommend that students who intend to take the certification exam at minimum meet the exam requirements.  Student verification for testing qualification is not administered through the APICS Gold Rush Chapter.

CLTD Course

​The APICS Gold Rush Chapter offers CLTD exam preparation courses to provide a structured and collaborative learning environment for candidates to successfully learn the material presented in the CLTD courseware and prepare for the exam.  The APICS Gold Rush Chapter course consists of 14 weeks of class time – one session a week for three hours.  The first day is an overview of the CLTD learning system, including the online tools, distribution of materials and course syllabus review and the remainder of the thirteen sessions are instruction and exam preparation.

CLTD Exam Requirements 

In order to take the APICS CLTD Certification Exam, the student must meet the following requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of work experience; OR

Bachelor's Degree OR

APICS CPIM, CIRM, CSCP or other Certification
