With more than 70,000 members worldwide, APICS is dedicated to using education to improve the business line from manufacturing to service industry companies. APICS is recognized globally as the source of knowledge and expertise for manufacturing and service industries across the entire supply chain in such areas as materials management, information services, purchasing and quality, the successful developer of three internationally recognized certification programs, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) and a source of solutions, support, and networking local chapters, workshops, symposia, and the annual ASCM International Conference and Exposition.
In 2018, the APICS professional organization expanded its global reach through a rebranding of the organization into the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM). The APICS brand is part of the ASCM organization as the provider of high-quality educational resources and diverse local chapter network. Members of the ASCM community can join a local APICS chapter to tap into local resources, events, and certification preparation courses.
APICS GOlD Rush Chapter
Established in 1990, the APICS Gold Rush Chapter, has been servicing the greater Modesto, California as the leader in providing APICS Certification preparation courses, seminars, and professional development events to its members. In 2010 the Gold Rush Chapter formally received its incorporation status in the State of California and recognized at both state and federal levels as a not-for-profit professional organization. The chapter services are managed entirely by unpaid volunteer Board of Directors elected by the chapter membership, courses taught by qualified APICS Certified Instructors, and event presentations made speakers who have excelled in their field of expertise within the operations and supply chain discipline. It is through the hard work and dedication of these volunteers and instructors that the Gold Rush Chapter has gained the reputation of providing high quality educational and professional development services. For the last five years, the APICS Gold Rush Chapter has achieved "Platinum" status recognition from APICS National for excellence in chapter management, educational program offerings, and membership growth.
